Christian Siriano Spring 2027 went from laser-cut black to tapestry on a French fairy tale that Andrew Lang printed in English in 1900

Christian Siriano showed Spring 2027 on Thursday 10 September 2026, in the 6pm slot on the CFDA's official calendar, and his casting took in a range of body types. Siriano described the fairy tale behind the collection as dark, with a soft, floral ending. In Andrew Lang's text, the little dog that leads the lost princess to a valley of trees in flower and fruit turns out to be the Prince of the Emerald Isles, she marries him, and the fairies take away the vain queen's power. Lang's Grey Fairy Book credits the story to the Cabinet des Fées, whose fifth volume, printed in 1785, carries it among the tales of Les Illustres Fées. That book was printed in Paris by Brunet in 1698, and was once attributed to Madame d'Aulnoy.
