Magda Butrym's New York runway debut for Spring 2027 layered aprons over slips and referenced Natalia LL

Magda Butrym's Spring 2027 collection took its title from Natalia LL, and a teaser released before the show referenced her Consumer Art, the 1970s photographs and films of women eating bananas and sausages suggestively at the camera, often read as a critique of how pornography sells women's bodies. "The image belongs to her," Butrym said. The house ties the pearls at the neck, wrists and ankles to the shape of a rosary, and the rose petals to the flower carpets laid for Corpus Christi in Spycimierz. The show ran on Sunday 13 September. MoMA's set, acquired through the Agnes Rindge Claflin Fund for its photography department, is seventeen prints of a woman's face, many with a finger at her lips.
