McQueen's London runway record since the 2001 move to Paris: menswear at London Collections: Men, womenswear in 2016

McQueen shows its spring/summer 2027 menswear and womenswear at 20:00 on Sunday 20 September 2026, Seán McGirr's first London show for the house. When Burton brought the womenswear home in February 2016 she said McQueen is 'fundamentally British and London is where it's based.' Radić's bubble was built for the October 2021 show and reused a year later in Greenwich, pitched again rather than rebuilt. McGirr arrived from JW Anderson, where he was head of ready-to-wear, and succeeded Burton, who stepped down in 2023 after 13 years as creative director.

02IN DECEMBER 2000 THE GUCCI GROUP, NOW PART OF KERING, BOUGHT 51% OF MCQUEEN'S OWN LABEL. HE STAYED ON AS ITS CREATIVE DIRECTOR.

03HIS LAST LONDON SHOW WAS WHAT A MERRY-GO-ROUND, AT THE GATLIFF ROAD WAREHOUSE ON 21 FEBRUARY 2001.

04THE DANCE OF THE TWISTED BULL FOLLOWED IN PARIS ON 6 OCTOBER 2001. HE SHOWED HIS WOMENSWEAR THERE UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 2010.

05UNDER SARAH BURTON, THE MENSWEAR SHOWED AT LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN IN 2014 AND 2015.

06IN FEBRUARY 2016 BURTON TOOK THE WOMENSWEAR TO LONDON FASHION WEEK FOR ONE NIGHT, WITH AUTUMN/WINTER 2016.

07SPRING/SUMMER 2022 SHOWED IN OCTOBER 2021, INSIDE A SMILJAN RADIĆ BUBBLE ON TOP OF A CAR PARK IN WAPPING.

08THE BUBBLE WENT UP AGAIN ON 11 OCTOBER 2022, AT THE OLD ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE IN GREENWICH, FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2023.

09SEÁN MCGIRR, NAMED CREATIVE DIRECTOR IN OCTOBER 2023, PUTS MENSWEAR AND WOMENSWEAR ON ONE LONDON RUNWAY. IT IS HIS FIRST LONDON SHOW FOR THE HOUSE.
