John Richmond SS27, White Light, White Heat, at St Martin-in-the-Fields: the house's own account of the show

John Richmond showed White Light, White Heat, his SS27 collection, at St Martin-in-the-Fields on 19 September 2026. The title is lifted straight from the Velvet Underground song, which the house describes as an expression of speed, light and electricity. Music, it says, forms the invisible architecture of the collection, and here it enters the construction of the show itself: presence, sound and movement in the same space as the clothes, a fashion show with the energy of a live performance. Styling by Mirko Pedone, casting by Carola Monteleone, hair by Fabrizio Palmieri for Toni & Guy, make-up by Crystabel Riley, millinery by Kate Nikolson. The house's own closing line on the light: not simply something to be seen, but something to be felt.

08YOUNG MUSICIANS WALK THE RUNWAY ALONGSIDE THE MODELS, IN THEIR OWN CLOTHES, INVITED, THE HOUSE SAYS, NOT TO PLAY A ROLE BUT TO BRING THEMSELVES.

09AFTER THE FINAL LOOK, STEWART, ONE HALF OF EURYTHMICS, PERFORMS THE SONG AS MODELS AND MUSICIANS COME BACK AND GATHER ROUND HIM.
