Dior SS27: Jonathan Anderson dedicates the Tuileries show to Mathilde Favier, the house's PR director, who died in August

Dior's spring 2027 show ran at 15:00 on 29 September over the octagonal basin of the Tuileries in Paris and was dedicated to Mathilde Favier, Dior's public relations director, who died on 17 August in a head-on collision near Thouars in western France. She was 57 and had run press for the womenswear line since 2011. Anderson said the house owed a great deal to her work and called her the most positive and uplifting person he had met. The collection was built on lightness: the sheer suit jacket carried over from his June men's show, the Bar jacket remade in printed chiffon, sheer georgette petals, and a pair of wénwán walnuts in every invitation. The camphor trees on the runway will be replanted in the Tuileries afterwards. Music was by Damien Quintard, production by Bureau Betak, casting by Ashley Brokaw.
