Richard Quinn spent his fifty thousand euro student prize on an open access print works under the Peckham railway arches

Richard Quinn shows at London Fashion Week, and the business under his own is a print works. He took a BA in fashion print and an MA at Central Saint Martins, won the H&M Design Award for his graduate collection with a cash prize of fifty thousand euros, and put it into an open access print studio beneath railway arches in Peckham. It runs with no minimum order quantity, which is what makes it usable by a student with one length of cloth, and it has the capacity for production runs. Named clients include Burberry (@burberry), JW Anderson and Disney Theatrical Productions. He was a British Fashion Council NEWGEN name in 2017, and the award the Queen gave at his show on 20 February 2018 is judged on talent and originality plus value to the community or sustainable practice.
