The Cartier Love bracelet locks on with a screwdriver

A bracelet you cannot take off alone. Aldo Cipullo designed the Cartier Love bracelet in 1969, an oval cuff that screws onto the wrist, two tiny screws, fastened by someone else with a screwdriver. The idea was commitment you wear. Cartier later sold the screwdriver as a necklace, so one person wears the lock and the other wears the key. Romance, engineered.
