Madonna's Gaultier cone corsets on the Blond Ambition tour, 13 April to 5 August 1990: two corsets, the 1984 Barbès runway, the teddy bear Nana, the 1989 call

Jean Paul Gaultier (@jeanpaulgaultier) has said the corset came from his grandmother: as a boy he found one in her wardrobe, asked what the instrument was, and it stayed in his memory. He dressed his teddy bear in a paper bra long before Madonna rang. The gold corset was photographed on display in 2012, the year of the sale. In the same year Christie's sold a black satin bustier from the tour's Vogue number for 16,250 pounds. Photos: Brandon Carson, CC BY 2.0; Barry Caruth, CC BY-SA 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons.
